GSoC 2026: Introduction and Proof of Work -- Shubham Gupta

Hi everyone,
I am Shubham Gupta final year undergrad in B.Tech CSE. I have keen interested in embedded systems, started my tinkering journey way-back in school days. Have hands-on with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32 and nRF family.
I wanted to contribute to “Port TinyUSB to RTEMS”. I think my past experience with USB HID protocol and USB CDC will be relevant. As I have checked in the project page there is link mentioning about FreeRTOS port for TinyUSB, but it is 404:Not Found right now.
Hoping for some guidance upon how to get started with the interesting journey ahead.

I have completed the Getting started guide. Attaching the screenshot to the patch.

Thanks, you can add yourself to tracking/2026 · main · RTEMS / Programs / Google Summer of Code · GitLab and begin to engage on topics with project ideas that interest you, or start a new topic if there isn’t an open one already.

Hi @gedare ,
I was planning to contribute in “TinyUSB port for RTEMS”. But as I went through the topics, I saw that someone is already working on it.

Shall I explore any other project?
Can you please guide me upon this.

Thanks

At this stage it may be inevitable that multiple people express an interest in the same project idea. I would prefer to see contributors proposing to work on something that interests them, but you are welcome to explore other open topics if you think that is better for you.
