GSoC 2026: Introduction and Proof of Work - Sipra

Hello, My name is Sipra Sanghamitra Dash, and I am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Lovely Professional University. I have been exploring the RTEMS ecosystem and am eager to contribute to the project for GSoC 2026.

I have successfully completed the “Hello World” task from the Quick Start guide to familiarize myself with the workflow. I have modified the initial code to display another greeting.

Proof of Work:

As a beginner, I find this project very appealing because it focuses on improving the developer experience. I am eager to learn, and I plan to dedicate my full effort to ensure that this task is implemented correctly and according to your coding standards.

I would love to know if there are any specific modules or past merge requests I should study to ensure my code meets the standards. I am eager to learn and bridge any knowledge gaps before the program begins.

Also, could you please let me know the best way to keep in touch or reach out with technical questions as I work on my proposal?

I am excited about the possibility of contributing to RTEMS and would appreciate your guidance on the best way to proceed.

Best regards,
Sipra Sanghamitra Dash

Can you please show a screenshot of your patch file?

Please do tell me if there could be any improvements in the way I completed the task.
