Hello from Shaunak – GSoC 2025 Introduction

Hello everyone,

I’m Shaunak Datar, an undergraduate student studying Electronics Engineering. I began coding back in sixth grade, starting with basic web and Android development. Over time, I developed a strong interest in embedded systems, robotics, and low-level engineering.

I discovered RTEMS while exploring open-source projects in the embedded space that I could contribute to, and I’m thrilled to be part of this community through GSoC 2025.

My project is titled Adding I²C, PWM, DMA, and Mailbox Support to the Raspberry Pi 4B BSP, and it addresses Issue #81. I’ll be working on implementing support for these peripherals to help bring the Raspberry Pi 4B BSP closer to feature parity with the Pi 3.

I’m genuinely excited to contribute to open source and engage with the RTEMS community!
