Prithvi Tambewagh - GSoC 2025 Introduction

Hello everyone!

Myself Prithvi Tambewagh, an undergraduate student, studying Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. I had been fascinated by robotics since a very young age and had been exploring electronics since 7th grade. Eventually I learnt C++ programming and started my journey with Embedded C, exploring low-level programming for robots since I began my undergraduate studies. Seeking opportunities for open source contribution and learning low-level engineering in depth, I came across RTEMS. I am very much excited to contribute to RTEMS this summer, that too via such an enriching program like GSoC!

My project is titled “Provide SPARC greth Network Drivers for lwip” and I intend to port SPARC GRETH Drivers, which currently has support for Legacy TCP/IP Networking Stack, to the newer lwIP (Lightweight IP) Networking Stack. This project aims to solve Issue #77.

Looking forward to a summer full of open source contribution and learning!
